Taper Forming Cutters or Swaging Tools or Rolling Tools

These are tools that are used to swage a taper Angle in the Internal Teeth of sleeves used in automobiles’ Synchromesh gearboxes. Swaging Angle varies from 3° to 5° usually. But we have made upto 7* per flank also! They are used in Integral form (see picture) or as 2 single pieces assembled together to form a pair to swage a taper on both ends of a sleeve.

A chamfer angle of 15° to 45° at end of swaging length is also provided. Sometimes, 3 angles are ground into cutters.
